The security guard is responsible to: • Keep district in compliance with district, state and federal laws in regards to security • Work with administration to patrol and monitor campus and perimeter • Report unusual activities in district to security supervisor • Identifying safety concerns at sites and reporting them to maintenance • Maintain all records as related to security/patrol • Participate in special projects as assigned • Regional travel may be required • Learn names of individual students in order to assist with campus control • Directs and control vehicle traffic on district property when necessary • Assist staff with student conduct • Performs duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed/trained
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/Or Competencies Required To Successfully Perform The Work: • Knowledge of district policies, district student handbook and regulations for safety • Ability to work a flexible schedule • Knowledge of methods used in securing district sites • Knowledge of regulations regarding child abuse, sexual harassment, hate crimes, and bullying for state and federal procedures • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication • Knowledge of digital camera operations to photograph evidence as needed • Ability to be detailed oriented in record keeping • Ability to complete reports in a timely fashion • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required For Entry Into Position:
• High School Diploma or GED- required, MUST be submitted with application • Experience in a security role-preferred • Arizona Guard Card-REQUIRED, MUST be submitted with application • 3 Letters of recommendation,MUST be submitted with application • Finger Print Clearance Card, MUST be submitted with application • Maintain an excellent state driving record • First Aid and CPR CPI training
